About the job

Our Polymer Specialties business manufactures and supplies essential ingredients and sustainable solutions for the polymer industry. These are organic peroxides, co-catalysts (metal alkyls) and other specialty additives used in the production and processing of polymers. From construction materials to power distribution cables and from plastic recycling to insulation materials, we enable our customers to meet modern society’s challenges.

The Technical Development Manager Recycling contributes to Nouryon’s business strategy and growth agenda through business development activities and works at the interface of sales, marketing, and R&D.

The geographical scope of this role will include location Deventer and remotely support locations, customers, and stakeholders in the EMEA region. 

In your future role as Technical Development Manager you will

  • Support and train the sales force.
  • Introduce new and existing products.
  • Understand requirements and opportunities in the recycling market and translate these into new products and technology development projects.
  • Provide technical support to customers in the developing and growing recycling segment.
  • Manage contacts with licensors, equipment manufacturers, and technical cooperation with (key) accounts.
  • Initiate and guide the development of new technical concepts and products.
  • Coordinate technical customer complaints, R&D field activities and customer service activities.
  • Develop technical literature, brochures and publications.
  • Present at international congresses and trade shows.
  • We believe you bring

  • A Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Chemical, Engineering or Polymer/Plastics.
  • At least 3 years working experience in a similar sales role.
  • Fluency in English. German is considered as a plus.
  • Strong commercial and communication skills. Act as interface between R&D, PRSA, production and marketing and sales.
  • You know how to support introduction of new and existing products and technologies.
  • Very strong experience in networking and interpersonal skills with internal and external customers

    You will have the chance to work with various stakeholders across all levels of the organization. The Polymer Specialties team is striving to be better every day and are always willing to help whenever necessary. Our employment package comprises:

  • A permanent contract with a probationary period of 2 months.
  • A gross basic annual salary including holiday allowance based on your knowledge and experience between EUR 80,000 and EUR 110.000.
  • 25 vacation days + 10 leave days.
  • An end-of-year bonus.

    This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, based in Deventer, The Netherlands with a travel component of around 25%. In this role you report to the Marketing & Business Development Manager.
