Sales Executive
Combine your passion for hospitality & sales as a Sales Executive at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Deventer, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by identifying new sales opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and promoting our hotel services. What will you do?
Revenue:
- Seek conference, corporate, and group business, ensuring full communication with the sales manager to convert into business.
- Conduct proactive sales activities.
- Be fully aware of the physical product as well as additional sales opportunities to maximize revenue.
- Understand the department’s financial requirements.
People:
- Participate in hotel promotional activities.
- Have a sound knowledge of the local area regarding history, places of interest, and special events, and know where to obtain further information.
Guest Experience:
- Provide guests with information (e.g., loyalty programs, area attractions, restaurants, facilities) to enhance their experience.
- Interact with guests and build account profiles.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts to generate group and/or convention business, including room sales, F&B sales, and catering/banqueting services.
- Assist with conventions and business group activities, coordinating with hotel departments to facilitate services.
Responsible Business:
- Take responsibility for reactive sales efforts within the hotel.
- Work with operational teams to ensure client expectations are met.
- Identify new sales opportunities and attract new customers.
- Maintain current and prospective client databases, keep files current, and submit timely sales reports.
- Follow up regularly with clients and maintain accurate information.
- Respond to client calls and special requests, capturing details like dates, times, and room requirements.
- Communicate pertinent information to relevant departments for VIPs, groups, and key guests.
- Monitor guest satisfaction pre- and post-event.
Who are we looking for?
- Proven sales experience, preferably in hospitality.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and rapport-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
